Stories from Maundo Village

We recently had a three days crusade and conference in a village called Muando which is situated in Eastern Uganda. It is 20km from our main town Tororo.

We had activities like singing and dancing. In this village, we help 84 orphans. We have been providing them with books, pens and pencils which have been enabling them to attend school. We want to convey our heartfelt appreciation to our donors who have been supporting the needy orphans in this village.
We also did some HIV/AIDS awareness Some people went for tests and those who found themselves positive have begun taking ARV’s treatment.
In the Village, we preached the gospel where people got saved.
I also managed to talk to the orphans, widows and the village people to know the impact of our project in their lives. Benard an orphan from Maundo told us in his own words. “I wouldn’t be going to school if it weren’t this project” and he really appreciates the project for the support and prays it continues doing the great work and also thanks the donors on behalf of all the orphans.

In the crusade and conference at Maundo, we gave out clothes to the orphans, needy people and widows which were donated by the Christians from Evangel church Tororo.

The church at Maundo started in 2007 under a tree and when Pr. Benjamin and his team from Evangel church Tororo went to preach the Gospel, they saw the need that a building should be constructed. A Christian from the village offered the church land for some time where the congregation has constructed a grass thatched house for the church by themselves while the church is looking to get land elsewhere and buy it for the future.
